Saturday Full Day Course
Buttercream Floral Cake
Learning Outcomes
Students in this course will learn to:
- Fill and cover a cake in buttercream
- Use and colour buttercream
- How to pipe a range of buttercream flowers
- How to choose a harmonious monochrome colour palette for piped florals
- Placement of buttercream flowers and decorative elements for a cohesive design
- Attach details including a topper and butterfly
- This course will be completed using real cake
Skill level: It is recommended that students have some experience in using buttercream
Sunday Morning 1/2 Day Course
Buttercream Cupcakes
Learning Outcomes
Students in this course will learn to:
- Pipe a range of buttercream flowers directly onto cupcakes
- Pipe a basic swirl and arrange buttercream flowers
- Create a cupcake set using colour theory to create a cohesive, harmonious colour palette
- Pipe flowers using a flower nail
- Colour buttercream
- Students can pick their own analogous colour scheme
Skill level: Some experience in using buttercream would be beneficial
Sunday Afternoon 1/2 Day Course
Buttercream Palette Knife
Learning Outcomes
Students in this course will learn to:
- Fill and cover a cake in buttercream with a rustic top edge
- Palette knife basics including loading palette knives
- Techniques to create different effects
- Create a palette knife design with buttercream
- Add decorative elements
- Colour buttercream in a palette of their choice
- This course will be completed in real cake
Skill level: No prior experience required
HOW DO I BOOK?
Cake Camp tickets will be available on Sunday 26th March
Campers will select their classes at the time of booking and secure these with a deposit of $235
The balance can be paid by these payment methods:
– In full, balance of $855 by 30th April 2023
– In instalments of $59 per week over 15 weeks (includes $30 admin fee to pay in instalments)
Instalment plan must be commenced by 8th April to complete all payments before the event
