Membership with the Australian Cake Decorating Network (“Network”) is subject to the following terms and conditions.
MEMBERSHIP
A person or business who pays to join the Network (“Member”) may be a cake decorator, enthusiast, business owner, hobbyist, or any person interested in cake decorating (including but not limited to cupcakes, cookies, cake pops, any other baking and decorating, classes, courses or providers of products for, or related to the cake decorating industry). A membership may be created under a business name. If created under a business name, up to two people in that business are allowed to join the ACDN Members Only Facebook group.
By completing this registration form and becoming a registered user, you give the Network permission to send you emails from time to time regardless of whether you choose to become a Member.
At the discretion of the Network, membership may be revoked from the Member by the Network at any time if the Member fails to comply to the terms and conditions of the website and its use, including but not limited to posting in the Facebook Group and page, Trading Post, and/or Live Chat Sessions. This includes any Member who is seen to be in anyway bullying, intimidating or acting in a manner deemed unfit by the Network. This is at the sole discretion of The Network. The Network has the right to add anyone to the ACDN Facebook Group whether they are a Member or not. This is at the sole discretion of the Network. The Network has the right to refuse membership for any reason at the discretion of the Network. If a membership is refused a full refund will be given. If a membership is revoked there will be no refund made, except where required by Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Law.
The Network has the right to refuse or revoke membership to individuals or businesses delivering services or programs of a similar nature to, or on behalf of another organisation, a provision of service that the Network provides.
Membership Benefits and/or inclusions are subject to change from time to time, and may be changed, removed or added without prior notice.
Members found to be sharing username or member discount codes will have their membership cancelled without refund.
Membership subscription fee is subject to change. All current members at time of change will be notified prior to change in subscription fee.
Members of the Network who are in business (that is: sell their cakes, cookies and other baked goods to others for profit or to cover costs or take any payment) agree to adhere to all laws in their state and council, in relation, but not limited to: food safety, OH&S, insurance and licencing. This is a condition of membership. The Australian Cake Decorating Network will not be held responsible for ensuring members maintain their legal obligations. Those who do not abide by licencing, food handling and other related laws should not become members of the Australian Cake Decorating Network.
SUBSCRIPTION AND REFUNDS
By becoming ‘Member’ you understand that membership is a RECURRING ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP. This means that you will be automatically billed for another year of membership one year from the date that you join, unless you cancel prior to that date. You can cancel your membership at any time by emailing: [email protected] or if paid by PayPal: logging in to your PayPal account, going to recurring billing and cancelling your subscription, or paid by Debit or Credit Card: Cancelling via your account on the website. You can contact us at [email protected] if you would like us to cancel your membership for you.
If you joined ACDN with a membership discount, this discount is valid for the FIRST 12 months of the membership only, as stated on the checkout page. After the first 12 months of the membership, if the membership is not cancelled, it will be renewed at the standard membership price.
Membership is a recurring subscription so that you don’t have to remember to re-join each year and therefore don’t lose your membership benefits. If your subscription renewal payment is paid but you did not wish to continue your membership (i.e. you forgot to cancel the renewal), you have a period of SEVEN (7) calendar days to let us know and request a refund. Refunds will only be issued if we are notified within 7 days of the renewal being processed. Refunds will only be issued for the renewal, not the first or previous years of membership.
Cancellations of subscriptions will take place from the next billing date (for the next membership year, not the current year, unless done so within 7 days as noted above).
Why do we do this?
We want to offer this refund option in the case that you forget to cancel your membership and only remember when the payment has come out. If you have any questions or wish to cancel your subscription email [email protected].
By becoming a member you are purchasing a 12 month membership period, which is then auto-renewed (unless cancelled as per the above). If you wish to cancel your membership during the 12 month period, you will not be entitled to a refund of the remaining months of that 12 month membership (except where required by Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Law).
SHARING OF MEMBER IMAGES
By becoming a member of the Australian Cake Decorating Network you give ACDN permission to share your work via either your Facebook or Instagram as a ‘member share’
Members will be shared on the Network Facebook page, and join a posting Cycle (“Cycle”) when they become a member. The Network aims to share each new member on the Facebook page within one to two weeks of joining the Network. Members can only be shared if they provide the Network with their link to their Facebook page upon joining, or by email after joining. If a Member changes their Facebook page link they must inform the Network via email for their page to continue to be shared in the Cycle. The frequency of Member advertising within the Cycle may vary but the Network aims to keep a Cycle that ensures fair and regular posting. The Network reserves the right at its own discretion to post on behalf any one member or group of members more regularly within a Cycle if their work is seen to be relevant to any of the Network’s intitiatives including for example only: Top Tip Thursday or Member Monday.
In order to share Members work, the Network may download images from the Member’s Facebook page and/or website to re-upload and promote within the Network.
It is the Members responsibility to clearly identify which images are not their work for example, when posting other decorator’s work to their Facebook page, the Member should credit the decorator whose work it is. Credit should also be identified for design inspiration and/or courses the cake was completed in. If there is not indication that the work is not that of the Member, the Network will assume it is and may share this work as though it is the Members. No responsibility will be taken for incorrect or missing credit or the implications following this.
AFFILIATE AND ADVERTISER AGREEMENTS
The Network may, at its own discretion, from time to time enter in to paid affiliate agreements with other organisations, these arrangements may be, but are not limited to being ongoing, temporary, and/or exclusive. Affiliates may, or may not be members of the Network. Affiliate arrangements will not alter and/or impact on the Cycle.
The Network may, at its own discretion, from time to time enter into paid agreements to advertise and giveaway products as a part of competitions and giveaways with other organisations. These arrangements may be, but are not limited to being ongoing, temporary, and/or exclusive. These organisations may or may not be members of the Networks. These agreements will not alter and/or impact on the Cycle.
The Network reserves the right to share any Facebook post that it thinks may be relevant to the Network’s Facebook Page likers, or audience.
