Mr Cow Cake
Learning Outcomes
Students in this course will learn to:
- Panel cover a rectangle cake using a foam dummy
- Make a fondant 2D topper using overlays to create a 3d effect
- Use templates to create design
- Create depth using 2 dimentional objects
- Shading using lustre dusts
- Simple wafer paper techniques
- Outlining using edible markers
- How to best use decorating tools such as scalple blades to finish clean cut designs
- Karen's Cow Cake will be taught on a styrofoam dummy with fondant
Skill level: No prior experience is required, however some prior use of fondant would be beneficial
Sunday Morning 1/2 Day Course
Comic Cake
Learning Outcomes
Students in this course will learn to:
- Cut polystyrene dummy cake to remove a wedge
- Panel cover a polystyrene cake dummy with fondant
- Use templates to create cake designs
- How to hand roll fondant for fine details
- Make and decorate 2 dimensional toppers
- Create and use templates
- Master scalpel skills to create clean lines
- Karen's Comic Cake will be taught on a styrofoam dummy with fondant
Skill level: No prior experience is required, however some prior use of fondant would be beneficial
Sunday Afternoon 1/2 Day Course
Perfect Lines
Learning Outcomes
Students in this course will learn to:
- Panel cover a square cake
- Achieve perfectly straight horizontal, vertical and diagonal stripes
- Achieve perfectly clean lines with fondant
- Cut and apply sharp clean fondant detail
- Create and use templates
- Utilise tools for perfect placement
- Perfect your cutting techniques
- Create an ombre colour effect with fondant
- Wrap a round cake in fondant
- Karen's Perfect Lines course will be taught on a styrofoam dummy with fondant
Skill level: No prior experience is required, however some prior use of fondant would be beneficial
HOW DO I BOOK?
Cake Camp tickets will be available on Sunday 26th March
Campers will select their classes at the time of booking and secure these with a deposit of $235
The balance can be paid by these payment methods:
– In full, balance of $855 by 30th April 2023
– In instalments of $59 per week over 15 weeks (includes $30 admin fee to pay in instalments)
Instalment plan must be commenced by 8th April to complete all payments before the event
