When I sat down to review the CakeBox™ I thought to myself what can I write about this great product and that was it! It is a great product. A box that holds 18 cupcakes perfectly balanced in their little holders so you arrive at your destination and they look exactly the same as when you left the house.
I personally have had many issues with tumbling cupcakes looking like squished messes when I arrive at a party so am a little excited about this product.
I know there are paper versions of a cupcake box on the market but the CakeBox™ is a sustainable and reusable product that you will have for many years to come. Not only that but they are sturdy and wont crush if you accidentally put something on top of the box that you shouldn’t have. Can you hear my pain here speaking from experience.
A little background on the creation of the CakeBox™ and their sister product the PieBox™.
While Adrienne was in pastry school, she found herself in a sticky situation—she suddenly (and frequently) needed to transport baked goods around town, but didn’t have a dependable, sustainable, stylish way to do so. Unwilling to compromise on an inferior carrier, she and co-founders Carol and Steven began to work with a small team of woodworkers in Chicago to create the PieBox™. The result is as all-American as Adrienne’s apple pie… or her chocolate cake, which would fit perfectly in the team’s latest creation: the CakeBox™.
To try out my CakeBox™ and decided to use a carton of Ikea Muffin Mix I had been wanting to try out and thought this was the perfect opportunity. I picked out some nice simple cupcake wrappers and away we went. A simple chocolate muffin (cupcake) with chocolate ganache swirl.
