Liz Wright is the Founder of the Australian Cake Decorating Network. Liz started her cake decorating business in 2008 after growing up watching her mum bake and decorate wedding cakes for years. Liz is passionate about supporting new and existing baking businesses and provides training and networking opportunities for bakers and decorators of all skill levels.
Jenn Donovan - Social Media & Marketing Australia
Jenn is a small business lover and creator of the Small Business Made Simple Podcast. Jenn has spent the last 12 years running her own small businesses, and the last 3 teaching everything she’s learnt. Jenn will be teaching us tips and tricks for increasing engagement and getting the most out of social media platforms.
Jacqui Naunton - White Deer Graphic Design
Jacqui runs her design business working with people all over Australia and the world to create brands they can be truly proud of. Jacqui is joining us in this course to help students learn to build their own brand and create graphics, logos and branding they can be proud of, all through Canva!
Maxine Booth - Urban Planning and Building Consultants
Urban Planning and Building Consultants was established in 2018 by Maxine Booth who is a qualified town planner and draftsperson. With over 15 years’ experience in town planning, Maxine has a wealth of knowledge in the construction and development industry. After several years working as a town planner in the private sector, Maxine decided to start Urban Planning and Building Consultants to provide a more personal service to clients. Maxine will be walking students through the steps required to register your home based baking business with your council.

Emma Heuston runs her own law firm from home called The Remote Expert. She is an online business lawyer with clients all around Australia, as well as an author of The Tracksuit Economy. Emma has been a lawyer for 21 years and has owned her own business called The Remote Expert 3 years ago. how is the course delivered?
The 6 week Start Your Own Baking Business course is delivered via our online learning platform. Students will set up a login when they purchase the course. A new lesson of the course will be released on Monday each week.
Our fortnightly group support sessions are via Zoom and are recorded for you to watch on replay if you cannot make them live.
I HAVE NEVER DECORATED CAKES BEFORE, IS THIS COURSE FOR ME?
This course is for students who are wanting to start their own baking business, therefore we would suggest that you have some experience in cake baking/decorating. If you would like to build on these skills, you may like to look at our Foundation or Techniques Masterclasses here www.cakeschool.me
how long do i have access for?
Students have 12 months access to the videos inside the course, so you can go back and re-watch each step for 12 months, as you progress through your business start up journey.
what if i don't like the course?
We are so confident that you will love our course, that we offer a 14 day money-back guarantee, (from the start date of the course) for students who have watched both of the week 1 and week 2 lessons and participated in both of the week 1 and week 2 live feedback sessions, and think the course is not for them.
is the content available straight away?
We will release a new class each Monday morning for 6 weeks.
i'm not located in australia, can i join the course?
Yes! However please note – The business setup essentials will differ depending on the country you are located in. The information on the legal requirements is created based on the requirements for Australian businesses, however all other information is relevant regardless of location.
WHAT IF I MISS A WEEK OR CAN'T DO THE COURSE STRAIGHT AWAY?
Although we do recommend all students complete the course together (virtually), students will be able to access the course content will be available for 12 months from the start date of the course.
