It’s official! Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro is heading Australia to share in the infectious love of cake decorating, at the upcoming Cake, Bake & Sweets Show to be held in Melbourne from the 3rd to the 5th of October 2014. Buddy said “I’m excited to return Down Under, I love the people, and many Australian tourists have visited my bakery in New Jersey”.

Buddy is gearing up to make appearances on the Friday and Saturday of the event. It’s part of a promotional campaign, celebrating the launch of his new Cake Boss baking and decorating tools range. “I’m looking forward to launching my product range and pulling out all the stops for my first appearance at the Cake Bake & Sweets Show!” he said.

Cake Boss won’t be the only caking royalty to rub shoulders with at the three day spectacular. The Cake, Bake & Sweets Show team has a stellar celebrity line up.

Marianna’s Caking Me Crazy can also reveal that Melbourne’s own Kirsten Tibballs from Queen of Chocolate, will be attempting to break a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest chocolate flower bouquet. A team from Savour Chocolate & Patisserie School will also be joining in the fun in an attempt to make history. The Australian Cake Decorating Network is working behind the scenes in the lead up to October, with a huge surprise in the works.  You’ll have to stay tuned to find out what it is, currently it’s top secret.

Following the success of the Cake Bake & Sweets Show held in Sydney earlier this year, organisers are promising the Melbourne show is going to be bigger and better. Over the three days, more than 160 celebrities are expected to give demonstrations to large crowds of cake enthusiasts. Show Marketing Director, Brad Langton said “A wide range of workshops and classes hosted by the best in the baking and decorating business will allow visitors to take new skills home with them”.

If you want to get your hands of the latest innovative baking equipment and ingredients than this is the place to go, with a large variety of stall holders offering their wares. There’ll also be an array of amazing baked goods and sweet treats to get your taste buds tingling.

Tickets are now on sale, and until the end of this month you can benefit from a special early bird ticket price. Be sure to get in quick so you don’t miss out as ticket numbers are strictly limited.
