The CDC team are preparing to once again coordinate the 30 hands on cake decorating workshops taking place at the Cake Bake and Sweet Show from 12- 14 June at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. You can check out the class offerings HERE.
One of the Cake Bake and Sweet Show highlights is the talented international cake designer Kaysey Lackey who will be here from the USA. Kaysey’s Workshops are currently SOLD OUT, but you can still catch her doing a demonstration at the Cake Decorating Theatre each day. The show is perfect for those of us obsessed with all things baking, decorating and delicious and you can SAVE 25% by pre-booking your tickets online HERE.
Cake Decorating Central are also sponsoring our DIY Cupcake Station where visitors can decorate their own 4 cupcakes either following our tutorial or in their own style! You can make your own afternoon tea, or box them up to take them home! The DIY Cupcake Station will be full to the brim with fondant, buttercream, assorted cutters and tools, sprinkles (thanks to our friends at Dollar Sweets!) and lots of ACDN members to help as required. We also have the scoop for you that Kaysey is teaching exclusively in Sydney in late June for Cake Decorating Central once the show has wrapped up. She will be teaching her brand new Boxing Kangaroo and Kenny Koala designs at the Castle Hill Classroom, along with her popular Painted Poppies Class. The excitement doesn’t stop in June! In July the team are hosting the talented Julia Day (aka Miss Biscuit) on the weekend of 18 and 19 July. On Saturday Julia will be teaching her Beginners Comprehensive Course and on Sunday for those with a little more experience, there is Beyond the Basics. In the classes she shares her delectable vanilla cookie recipe – yum town! Her classes are a sell-out in Melbourne so best to book in quickly for the Sydney events. More details HERE.
